Compare plansWhat can I do with the free plan?
Start with one vehicle, maintenance and fuel logging, one active reminder, and one build thread. Free also includes PDF uploads on entries and one glovebox document. Pro adds more vehicles, reminders and threads, plus photos, AI assistance, and other tools.
Do I need to enter every vehicle detail myself?
You can use your VIN to look up vehicle details through the NHTSA database. The information available varies by vehicle, so review the results and fill in or correct anything missing.
Can I keep receipts and photos with a service?
Yes. PDF uploads on service entries are included in Free. Photo uploads require Pro. Your glovebox is a separate place for vehicle documents, with one document included in Free.
How do mileage reminders work?
Set a maintenance schedule by mileage, time, or both. Mileage reminders use the odometer readings you record in Gearboxe, so keep those readings up to date. Gearboxe does not read your car’s odometer automatically. Free includes one active reminder.
Can Gearboxe help me create an entry?
Pro includes AI assistance. On mobile, start from typed notes, a photo, or a voice recording. On the web, split an invoice into service entries. Review the suggested details before saving them to your record.
Can I use the same garage on my phone and computer?
Yes. Sign in to the same Gearboxe account on iOS, Android, or the web to access your garage and records. Some tools, including the AI capture options, differ by platform.
What happens to the record when I sell the car?
You can share a link to your vehicle record or transfer it to the next owner. Pro also includes vehicle history PDF exports. These records are maintained by owners; they are not independently verified vehicle history reports.
